Uludağ Exporter Unions Report June Export Surge

The Uludağ Exporter Unions (UİB) said that total exports for the first half of 2026 reached $21.797 billion, a 5 % increase over the same period last year. UİB Coordinator President Kemal Yazıcı noted, “We continue to increase our exports despite global economic uncertainties, regional problems, and rising energy, petrochemical and logistics costs, as well as protectionist trends in world trade.”

June figures showed notable growth across sectors: the Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters’ Union (OİB) posted $3.475 billion in June, up 13.9 % YoY, bringing half‑year automotive exports to $18.689 billion (+6 %). The Uludağ Textile Exporters’ Union (UTİB) recorded $105.877 million in June (+18 %), with six‑month total $615.518 million. The Uludağ Ready‑Made Clothing and Confectionery Exporters’ Union (UHKİB) reported $79.176 million for June (+4 %) and $421.686 million for the half‑year. The Uludağ Fruit and Vegetable Producers’ Union (UMSMİB) logged $20.849 million in June, while the Uludağ Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Union (UYMSİB) saw a dramatic 82 % jump to $18.918 million in June, reaching $77.853 million over six months.
