Umbra Acque reopens water kiosks in Città di Castello and plans maintenance causing temporary cuts in Uri, Olmedo
On 15 June 2026, Umbra Acque restored two public water kiosks, known as “Case dell’Acqua,” in Città di Castello. The facilities in Madonna del Latte (via Vasari) and Cerbara (via Monti) were renovated under a new management agreement, bringing the total number of active kiosks in the municipality to four and promoting the use of public tap water to reduce plastic bottle consumption.
A separate operation is scheduled for 17 June 2026 on the Abbanoa water network. Technicians will activate a second segment of a new conduit for the Bidighinzu aqueduct, funded by a €1.2 million regional investment. The works aim to replace an ageing pipe prone to landslides. During the 9:00‑20:30 window, water pressure may drop and temporary interruptions or turbidity are expected in the centres of Uri and Olmedo, with service expected to resume once the work is completed.
