Umbria honors artists and regional excellence at Spello and Spoleto events

The 2026 Spello Arts Exhibition and Umbria in Posa competition concluded with a ceremony in Spello, where 34 artists displayed 123 works of painting, sculpture, photography and craft. The jury awarded Roberto Perugini the first prize, Cristian Passerini second and Roberta Rubelli third, with special mentions to several contributors. A youth prize was given to Alice Zurlo and Leonardo Sassi, and the winning pieces will join the permanent collection of Gruppo in Arte APS, forming the core of the planned Museum of Umbrian Villages.

In Spoleto, the inaugural "Le Onde del Destino – Premio alle Eccellenze Umbre" was held at Palazzo Mauri, organized by journalist Ilaria Solazzo. The event celebrated 26 Umbrian personalities from culture, art, entrepreneurship, communication, research and social commitment, including journalist Donatella Binaglia, Spoleto councilor Danilo Chiodetti, Perugia province president Massimiliano Presciutti, truffle producer Olga Urbani and many others.
