UN envoy Olkin meets Cyprus leaders Christodoulides and Erhıurman

UN personal envoy Maria Anhela Olkin will be in Cyprus from 7 – 14 June 2026. She is scheduled to hold separate meetings on 8 June with Greek Cypriot President Nicos Christodoulides and Turkish Cypriot leader Erhıurman to discuss next steps in the Cyprus peace process and a possible common path forward.

Following the Cyprus visit, Olkin will travel to Athens and Ankara for additional consultations with the guarantor powers, as announced by UN Secretary‑General representative Stefan Douzaryk. The talks aim to build confidence and explore practical solutions to the island’s longstanding disputes.
