Un-hidden Connections project explores Brâncuși’s legacy in Belgrade

The Un-hidden Connections project, co-financed by the Romanian Cultural Institute through the Cantemir Programme, recently held a series of cultural activities in Belgrade from September 4 to 18. Organized by Save or Cancel (Romania) in collaboration with the Kruna Association (Serbia), the initiative explored the legacy of Constantin Brâncuși through the lens of urban art.

The program featured an exhibition, two debates, two creative workshops, and two multidisciplinary shows. The exhibition showcased 18 panels contextualizing 15 mural works painted in Romania between 2012 and 2025, all inspired by Brâncuși’s sculptures and photographic self-portraits. The project aimed to strengthen cultural dialogue between Romania and Serbia by using contemporary artistic practices to rediscover cultural heritage.
