The provincial government of North Kivu received a shipment of dignity kits for women suspected of Ebola on 30 July 2026, donated by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and accepted by health coordinator Prisca Luanda Kamala.

President Félix‑Antoine Tshisekedi called on all Kinshasa residents, local officials and municipal leaders to join a collective sanitation effort during a cabinet meeting on 31 July 2026, urging better waste collection and treatment.

On the same day the president inspected the Kaniama‑Kasese agro‑industrial hub in Haut‑Lomami, reviewing maize storage facilities, livestock units and the construction of silos slated to hold 30 000 tonnes of grain, and he handed over modern agricultural equipment to boost productivity.

MONUSCO funded a US$49 000 building for gender, social and youth services in the Ruwenzori sector of Beni, providing proper office space for community programmes.

Ebola survivor Justin Singo Nguma recounted his rapid recovery after ten days of treatment in a DRC Ebola treatment centre, stressing that early care saved his life; health authorities report more than 580 Ebola patients have recovered in the country.
