UN Report Accuses Israeli Forces of Deliberately Targeting Gaza Children
The United Nations Independent International Commission released a report concluding that Israeli authorities and security forces deliberately targeted Palestinian children during the Gaza conflict. The commission classified the actions as genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes, citing a pattern of sniper fire, quadcopter drones, precision‑guided munitions and high‑yield bombs used in densely populated areas.
According to the report, more than 20,000 children were killed and over 44,000 injured between October 2023 and October 2025, accounting for roughly 30 % of all fatalities. Victims continued to be killed and maimed after the October 2025 cease‑fire. The findings are supported by testimonies from medical volunteers, including Dr. Feroze Sidhwa, who said, “Nearly every day I was there, I saw a new young child who had been shot in the head or the chest, virtually all of whom went on to die.”
Israel has rejected the report, describing it as biased and defamatory. The document adds to the body of evidence scrutinising the conduct of the Gaza war and its impact on children.
