UN Report Finds Israel Systematically Targeting Palestinian Children

The United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory concluded that Israeli security forces have deliberately and systematically targeted Palestinian children in Gaza and the West Bank, contributing to crimes of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity. The latest report, issued on 23 June, states that at least 20,179 children have been killed between October 2023 and October 2025, representing roughly 30 % of all recorded casualties in the conflict.

Separately, the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child issued a stark warning that increasingly restrictive measures on humanitarian and human‑rights organisations are leaving Palestinian children even more vulnerable. The committee listed tactics such as military raids, travel bans, financial sanctions on activists and threats to aid groups like Médecins Sans Frontières. It called on the international community to hold Israel accountable and to lift the operational limitations that impede vital aid.

"Without their presence, Palestinian children will become increasingly unprotected, and the risk of rights violations will continue unchecked," the committee said.
