UN warns civilian risks as Israel expands Gaza control and West Bank settlements
The United Nations humanitarian team reported that Israeli forces have expanded the areas under their control in Gaza to cover about 65% of the territory. Movement restrictions and lethal force used to enforce them have hampered aid delivery, with UN officials confirming 196 Palestinian deaths—including 18 women and 43 children—since October 2025.
