UNAM Book Fair Opens in Mexico as PSPV Holds Campaign Convention in Spain
The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) opened the VIII International University Book Fair (FILUNI) at its Center for Exhibitions and Congresses from August 25‑30. The event will host 77 exhibitors across 151 stands, offering more than 20,000 titles and nearly 100,000 copies, with activities covering themes such as Spanish exile in Mexico, sustainability, environmental risk reduction, indigenous languages and peace culture.
In Spain, the Valencian branch of the PSOE (PSPV‑PSOE) organized a two‑day political convention at the University of Alicante on September 19‑20 to launch the campaign of regional president Diana Morant. The event, modeled on U.S. Democratic Party gatherings, combined music, thematic spaces, left‑wing activists and influencers, and a structured debate on health, housing, employment, climate and water management, aiming to present the party’s program ahead of the 2027 regional elections.
