UNAM opens registration for over 90,000 student scholarships

The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) has launched the registration process for more than 90,000 scholarships. These supports are intended for students at the high school, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels to facilitate academic persistence and success.

The scholarship program includes 15 different calls for applications, covering areas such as maintenance, food, academic excellence, and inclusion. Specific examples include the Manuela Garín Pinillos Maintenance Scholarship and the Ifigenia Martínez Food Support Scholarship.

To streamline the process, UNAM has introduced a new digital platform called Espacio UNAM. This system aims to reduce administrative complexity by using existing institutional data and a simplified socioeconomic questionnaire. The platform also utilizes GoIA, an artificial intelligence developed by the University Systems and Applications Laboratory, to help students identify and apply for the scholarships that best suit their specific needs.
