Catamarca prepares for Expo 2026 economic and productive event

Preparations are underway for Expo Catamarca 2026, a major economic and productive event scheduled for September 10–12 at the Predio Ferial Catamarca.

The Federation of Catamarca (FEC) and the National University of Catamarca (UNCa) have coordinated academic participation, which will include seminars on innovation, economy, leadership, tourism, mining, and regional economies. This collaboration aims to strengthen ties between the academic community and the private sector to support regional strategic development.

Additionally, the Ministry of Productive Development has organized the ‘Expo Oportunidades’ within the Regional Economies pavilion. Local merchants have signed agreements to participate in this commercial space, which will feature 26 stands offering clothing and footwear. The initiative, coordinated with the Commercial Union of Catamarca (UCC), seeks to boost local consumption and provide SMEs with a platform to increase visibility and liquidate seasonal stock.
