UNED cultural programs expand with new film and discussion cycles

The UNED cultural programs in Spain are expanding their offerings for the upcoming season. In Soria, the 33rd edition of the Cineclub, organized by the Asociación Cultural UNED Soria, will feature 47 titles including recent premieres, cycles dedicated to Agnès Varda and José Luis Borau, and works by local filmmakers. The screenings, held from October 2026 through May 2027, will take place at Cines Mercado and the Casa de la Tierra, with many films presented in their original versions.

In Melilla, the cultural initiative ‘La Casa de la Palabra’ has rebranded to ‘La Casa de las Palabras’ to reflect a broader diversity of disciplines and perspectives. Under the direction of Mohamed Hammu, the program for the final quarter of 2026 will integrate documentary films to serve as catalysts for discussion. The upcoming sessions will focus heavily on women’s experiences and social issues, featuring works such as ‘Las mujeres en la música amazigh’ and a talk by artist Inma Luna.
