Unicamp marks 60 years with regional recognition and new student entrepreneurship program

The State University of Campinas (Unicamp) is celebrating its upcoming 60th anniversary in 2026. The institution was recently recognized in the Top of Mind VTV SBT 2026 survey as the most remembered brand in its category by residents of Campinas. Rector Paulo Cesar Montagner highlighted the university's role as a hub for innovation and advanced research, noting its portfolio of over one thousand active patents.

In conjunction with its innovation efforts, Unicamp's innovation agency, Inova Unicamp, has opened registrations for the 13th edition of Inova Jovem 2026. This free, online national entrepreneurship competition is open to high school and technical students across Brazil aged 13 to 21. Participating teams of three to five members will receive training and mentorship to develop business models based on United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, with the opportunity to win cash prizes.
