UNICEF reports 351 children killed in Gaza since October ceasefire
UNICEF has reported that 351 Palestinian children have been killed by Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip since a ceasefire agreement was reached with Hamas in October 2025.
In a recent six-day period, the agency documented the deaths of eight children and injuries to approximately 20 others. Edouard Beigbeder, UNICEF’s Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa, described the level of violence against children as “unacceptable” and called for transparent accountability regarding these incidents.
Beyond the immediate casualties, UNICEF highlighted the severe humanitarian crisis facing surviving minors. The agency noted that the collapse of the healthcare system has hindered physical and psychological recovery for children. Additionally, approximately 800,000 children remain displaced, and an estimated 60,000 have lost one or both parents since the conflict began.
