Unidentified drone spotted floating near Tsarevo, Bulgaria

An unidentified drone has been spotted floating in the Black Sea, approximately 2 kilometers southeast of Tsarevo, Bulgaria. Unlike previous debris found along the Bulgarian coast, this unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) appears to be largely intact, retaining much of its original structure.

Specialized teams from the Bulgarian Navy and the Border Police have been dispatched to the area to inspect the craft. The primary objective is to determine if the drone poses a safety risk, as intact military drones may still contain explosives, fuel, or pyrotechnic components.

Authorities have not yet confirmed the origin of the drone—whether it is Russian, Ukrainian, or from another source—nor have they determined if it is carrying a combat payload. Experts noted that the relatively well-preserved state of the aircraft could provide significant technical information regarding its model, equipment, and flight route once it is safely secured and inspected.
