Unión del Pueblo Leonés launches regional political initiatives

Unión del Pueblo Leonés (UPL) has launched several political initiatives across the León and Zamora regions. The party has formally begun organizational preparations for the 2027 municipal elections in La Bañeza and El Páramo. This strategy involves a systematic plan of institutional visits to structure local candidacies and gather data on municipal needs to inform future electoral programs.

In the Cortes de Castilla y León, UPL is raising several regional concerns. The party has criticized the management of the start of the school year in León, citing a lack of planning and resource shortages that particularly affect rural schools. Additionally, UPL is demanding the integral repair of the SA-305 road connecting Ledesma with the Zamora provincial border due to hazardous conditions.

Furthermore, the party is addressing a long-standing legal dispute regarding the boundary delimitation between Cabrillanes and Somiedo, calling for greater support from the regional administration for the affected municipality.
