Union Minister Kishan Reddy says BJP will fix Singareni Collieries workers' issues
Union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy alleged that the policies of successive BRS and Congress governments have eroded the confidence of employees at Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL). During a "Singareni Bharosa Yatra" he visited the KTK‑8 mine in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, met workers and their families, and urged the Telangana government to disclose how District Mineral Foundation funds are being used. He highlighted nearly ₹9,000 crore in pending dues owed to SCCL by the state’s power utility and said the Centre’s allocation of the Tadicherla‑2 coal block to Singareni reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s support.
Reddy asserted that the BJP will win the next Telangana assembly election and, once in power, will resolve the grievances of SCCL workers, strengthen the company and improve welfare. He claimed, "never in the history of SCCL had its workers experienced such dissatisfaction" and warned that continued neglect would harm both the enterprise and the region’s growth.
