Union Minister Scindia champions Tripura Business Conclave 2026, pushes investment drive

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia visited Tripura as chief guest of the Tripura Business Conclave 2026, a two‑day event aimed at accelerating industrial investment, trade and connectivity in line with the government’s Act East vision. In his address he highlighted Tripura’s growing role as India’s gateway to Southeast Asia, noting its doubled Gross State Domestic Product to about Rs 90,000 crore and its status as a leading producer of bamboo and natural rubber.

State officials said the conclave seeks to attract investment proposals worth roughly Rs 1 lakh crore, building on MoUs signed at the previous summit valued at Rs 30,000 crore, of which projects totalling Rs 8,000 crore have already moved to implementation. Around 1,200 business leaders, industrialists and entrepreneurs participated, underscoring strong interest in Tripura’s infrastructure, skilled workforce and investor‑friendly policies.

The event is presented as a platform to forge new partnerships, generate large‑scale employment and boost per‑capita income, reinforcing Tripura’s ambition to become a major export hub and a preferred destination for long‑term investment.
