UNIPVC prepares training for 120 teachers in creativity and critical thinking

The Polytechnic University of Viana do Castelo (UNIPVC) has completed a phase of its trainer training program focused on creativity and critical thinking. The initiative aims to prepare approximately 120 teachers from primary and secondary education to implement these methodologies in their classrooms.

Developed in collaboration with the Institute of Education, Quality and Evaluation (EduQA) and specialists from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the program included 135 hours of in-person, online, and autonomous work. A recent cohort saw a 90% success rate, with participants achieving an average score of 18.6.

The program is accredited by the Scientific-Technical Council of the UNIPVC Higher School of Education, awarding five ECTS credits at level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework. The goal is to create a scalable training model that integrates these competencies into pedagogical practices, assessment processes, and student learning experiences.
