UNIPVC educational and teacher training initiatives

Overview

The Polytechnic University of Viana do Castelo (UNIPVC) has undertaken several initiatives to support educators and student guidance. The university hosted the eighth edition of the ‘Juntos Neste Percurso | Rede Partilhada de Educação’ forum at its Higher School of Health. This event utilized practical laboratory experiences and clinical simulators to foster collaboration between secondary and vocational school professionals, including teachers, directors, and psychologists.

In a separate effort, UNIPVC completed a phase of a trainer training program designed to equip approximately 120 primary and secondary school teachers with methodologies in creativity and critical thinking. Developed alongside the Institute of Education, Quality and Evaluation (EduQA) and OECD specialists, the accredited program involves 135 hours of work and aims to create a scalable model for integrating these competencies into pedagogical practices.
