United and Volaris add new Mexico‑US flights to Houston, Washington and Newark

United Airlines announced two new winter routes from Mexico. Starting 28 October 2026, United will operate a nonstop service between Tuxtla Gutiérrez (TGZ) and Houston (IAH) three times a week with Embraer 175 aircraft equipped with free Starlink Wi‑Fi. A second route will connect San José del Cabo (SJD) and Washington Dulles (IAD) from 25 October 2026, using Boeing 737s on four weekly flights during the peak winter season.

Volaris inaugurated a direct Puebla–Newark connection on 3 June 2024. The service links Hermanos Serdán Airport (PBC) with Newark Liberty International (EWR) using Airbus A320 aircraft. Flights Y4 504 (Puebla‑Newark) operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, while Y4 505 (Newark‑Puebla) run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, providing more options for the sizable Puebla migrant community in the United States.
