United Baloch Army and Baloch Republican Guards strike Pakistani forces in Balochistan

Armed separatist groups in Pakistan's Balochistan province escalated violence on July 31, 2026. The United Baloch Army (UBA) said it detonated a remote‑controlled bomb against a seven‑vehicle convoy of Pakistani security forces in the Chighardi area of Kachhi district, killing eight soldiers on the spot and wounding two others. A separate statement from the Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) claimed attacks on two other convoys and on a government irrigation office in Dhadar, causing further casualties and material damage.

Both groups said the operations would continue until Balochistan attains independence. Intermittent clashes between the militants and security forces persisted throughout the day, with both sides exchanging fire in the Sanni and surrounding areas.
