US conducts seventh consecutive night of strikes on Iran as Tehran vows broader retaliation

The United States Central Command announced that U.S. forces carried out a seventh straight night of attacks on Iran, hitting surveillance sites, military‑logistics infrastructure, underground weapons storage and maritime capabilities. More than 140 Iranian targets were struck, and the operation involved fighter aircraft, drones, warships and other assets, with over 50,000 American service members on alert in the region. Iranian state media reported three deaths and eight injuries in the southern Hormozgan province.

In response, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps said it hit U.S. facilities in Bahrain, destroyed a U.S. drone depot and the kingdom’s main artificial‑intelligence hub, and launched missile and drone strikes on U.S. bases in Jordan and on a power‑generation and desalination plant in Kuwait. The IRGC also claimed two oil tankers exploded after passing a mined area south of the Strait of Hormuz. An IRGC adviser warned, “If U.S. strikes continue for several more days, we will move into a phase of full‑scale offensive operations.”

The escalation has disrupted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, raised global oil prices by more than 4%, and sparked concerns about a wider regional conflict involving Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Qatar, Oman and Syria.
