United States carries out new air strikes on Iran, explosions reported in Tehran and southern cities

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed a new round of air operations against Iranian targets, striking sites linked to drones, missile systems, weapons depots and naval facilities in the Strait of Hormuz. Simultaneously, Iran reported activation of air‑defence systems in Tehran and several other regions.

Explosions and loud noises were reported across multiple Iranian locations, including Tehran, Shiraz, Isfahan, Tabriz, and the southern port cities of Chabahar, Konarak, Bandar Abbas and Sirik. Local witnesses described repeated blasts, shaking of buildings and low‑altitude fighter flyovers.

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that “our work with Iran is not finished,” signalling that further actions could follow. Iranian authorities have not released detailed casualty figures, and officials in Kuwait and Bahrain, cited by regional media, said they were confronting missile and drone attacks they attributed to Iran in the broader escalation.
