United States intelligence agencies form secret task force targeting Cuba

U.S. intelligence agencies have reportedly established a secret task force aimed at destabilizing the Cuban government. According to reports from Politico and The New York Times, the operation focuses on "regime alteration rather than change."

Sources suggest that personnel from across the 18 U.S. intelligence agencies may already be present in Cuba. These individuals include intelligence analysts, cyber operators, and specialists in clandestine influence operations. The mission involves recruiting and managing spies, often utilizing local nationals or third-country citizens to maintain cover.

The primary objective appears to be identifying and influencing individuals capable of opposing the current communist leadership. The administration aims to use conventional means and intelligence resources to pressure Cuban leaders toward specific shifts, such as economic liberalization, reopening the country to American businesses, and the expulsion of Russian and Chinese intelligence operatives from the island.
