United States-Iran Conflict Persists as US Air Strikes Temporarily Halt

The war that started on 28 February with coordinated US and Israeli attacks on Iran has continued for roughly four months without a decisive settlement. Iran has avoided a regime collapse and has signaled it could block the Strait of Hormuz, a key global shipping lane.

In the last two weeks US air operations against Iran were suspended. Officials cite critically low missile stocks, fears of a new energy‑price shock and heightened regional risk.
