United States prepares summit against left-wing movements
The United States Department of State, led by Marco Rubio, is preparing a new summit in Germany scheduled for next month. The meeting aims to discuss strategies for pursuing left-wing movements and parties that the U.S. classifies as “terrorists.”
This follows a previous conference held in Washington on July 16, which included representatives from over 60 countries. During that event, Rubio described the initiative as the formation of a “coalition” against the left, comparing the proposed coordination of security forces and intelligence sharing to historical models from the 1970s.
Argentina has played a significant role in these discussions. During the Washington meeting, high-ranking officials from President Javier Milei’s administration, including Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno and José Lago Rodríguez of the State Intelligence Secretariat (SIDE), were in attendance. While some details of the proceedings remain classified by Argentine authorities, other participants, such as the Foreign Minister of Georgia, have publicly acknowledged the agenda.
