Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro holds rector elections

The Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro (UAQ) is conducting an election to renew its Rectory. Edgar Pérez González, president of the University Council Electoral Commission, reported that no serious incidents have occurred during the voting process. While some polling stations experienced minor delays in opening, they were operational shortly thereafter. Minor issues involving voter registration discrepancies have been addressed by the commission.

UAQ Rector Silvia Amaya Llano urged students, faculty, and the wider university community to participate in the democratic process to determine the institution's leadership for the next three years. The election involves 57 polling stations managed by 228 electoral commission members. Voting concludes at 5:00 PM at the Sierra Gorda and Amealco campuses, and at 8:00 PM at all other locations.
