Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas graduates over 5,000 students in massive ceremony

The Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAT) in Mexico held graduation ceremonies for its 2022‑2026 cohort. Rector Dámaso Anaya Alvarado presided over the events, awarding certificates to roughly 70 social‑work students and 276 new doctors, and projecting up to 2,000 additional graduates by August. The university averages about 5,033 graduates each year across its 80 academic programs.

At the Multidisciplinary Academic Unit in El Mante, 184 health‑related and education professionals were conferred degrees, including 137 nurses, 29 nutrition and health specialists, 16 master's graduates in learning technologies, and two public‑health nursing specialists. Officials highlighted the university’s coordination with regional health systems such as IMSS, ISSSTE and IMSS‑Bienestar to secure internships and employment for the new professionals.
