Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas launches Forensic Psychology specialty program

The Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAT) in Tampico is offering a new Specialty in Forensic Psychology through its Faculty of Law and Social Sciences (FADYCS), in partnership with the Sistema para el Desarrollo Integral de la Familia (DIF) Tampico. The two‑semester program targets graduates of psychology and provides training in preparing expert reports, peritajes, and psychological assessments for judicial use.

The curriculum includes twelve subjects: Forensic Psychology, Forensic Medicine, Criminalistics, Victimology, Adolescent Psychological Approaches, Criminology, Psychopathology, Pericial Ethics, Criminal Profiling, and a Research Seminar, among others.
