As part of this academic expansion, the university inaugurated a new high school (Preparatoria Tampico) in the southern region of the state, which began activities with over 400 students. The institution currently serves a total enrollment of approximately 43,500 students across various levels, including preparatory, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs.

University leadership highlighted recent institutional achievements, including the accreditation of 100 percent of its undergraduate programs and the launch of 14 new degrees during the previous cycle. The university also reported a high employability rate of 78.8 percent for its 2025 graduates. Ongoing efforts focus on modernizing infrastructure, including laboratories and digital tools, to support student retention and academic quality.
