Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas reports financial stability and academic growth

The Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAT) has reported a positive fiscal balance, successfully addressing technical observations from the Auditoría Superior de la Federación (ASF) and the Auditoría Superior del Estado (ASE). Rector Dámaso Anaya Alvarado stated that the institution is projecting a budget aligned with national inflation to ensure operational stability and educational quality.

To strengthen financial management, the university has renewed its University Board (Patronato Universitario) with established business leaders from the northern, central, and southern regions of Tamaulipas. This board conducts quarterly administrative reviews through internal audits to ensure transparency and align academic offerings with productive sector needs.

In addition to financial updates, the university is marking several institutional milestones, including the 59th anniversary of the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences and the inauguration of the 2026 Inter-Faculty Games. The institution also continues to expand its international presence, recently participating in a technological innovation forum in Colombia regarding artificial intelligence in higher education.
