Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas to study erosion at Isla de Lobos

The Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAT), through its Center for Research and Development in Port, Maritime, and Coastal Engineering (CIDIPORT), will conduct specialized technical studies to address erosion affecting Isla de Lobos on the northern coast of Veracruz.

This initiative is the result of an inter-institutional agreement between CIDIPORT, the National Port System Administration of Tuxpan (ASIPONA Tuxpan), the National Commission of Protected Natural Areas (CONANP), and the Tuxpan Port Captaincy. The collaboration aims to implement coastal engineering and conservation actions to protect the island's ecosystem using applied research, coastal science, and advanced modeling.
