Universidad de Chile moves Everton match to Rancagua
Universidad de Chile will host Everton at the El Teniente Stadium in Rancagua on Monday, October 26, for the 25th round of the Primera División. The match is scheduled for 18:00, a change from the previously announced 20:00 start time.
Due to stadium regulations, the capacity for the match is set at 10,500 spectators, and only local fans are permitted to attend; Everton supporters will not be allowed in the venue. The relocation is necessary because the Estadio Nacional is currently unavailable due to pitch maintenance following recent large-scale concerts by BTS.
The move has drawn criticism regarding the club's previous assurances to season ticket holders. While the club had marketed its 2026 season passes with a guarantee of playing most home matches at the Estadio Nacional, logistical conflicts with upcoming events, including scheduled performances by Iron Maiden and the Teletón closing show, have forced the team to play multiple matches in alternative venues.
