Universidad Nacional del Comahue expands presence in northern Neuquén
The Universidad Nacional del Comahue (UNCo) is expanding its academic and professional presence in the northern region of Neuquén, Argentina. Through an agreement between NeuquénTur and the UNCo Faculty of Tourism, students will now have access to expanded internship opportunities in various tourist establishments, with a specific focus on inns in the Alto Neuquén area.
These internships aim to provide practical experience in destinations such as San Martín de los Andes and Villa La Angostura, allowing students to engage with the labor market before graduation. Additionally, the institutions are discussing new academic programs, including a hybrid diploma in Event Management to support the growing meetings and tourism sector.
In parallel, provincial, university, and municipal authorities met in Chos Malal to evaluate the development of the Alto Neuquén Node. The meeting focused on consolidating the university's academic structure in the region, which includes headquarters in Chos Malal and sub-sites in Andacollo and Buta Ranquil. Planning is currently underway for new academic proposals scheduled for 2027 to better align with the local productive profile.
