Universidad Nacional del Litoral calls for volunteers amid El Niño water emergency risk

The Universidad Nacional del Litoral (UNL), in conjunction with the Federación Universitaria del Litoral (FUL), has launched a call for volunteers to prepare for a potential water emergency caused by the El Niño phenomenon. The initiative aims to build a trained network of students, faculty, staff, and graduates to provide prevention, assistance, and support to affected communities.

Coordinated by the Secretariat of University Extension, the program will organize teams to work alongside local authorities. Technical meetings have already been held between UNL teams and the Municipality of Santa Fe to coordinate response actions. The volunteer efforts will cover various thematic areas, including environmental risk management, sanitation, waste management, and territorial resilience, as well as health-related support during the pre-emergency, emergency, and post-emergency phases.
