Universidad Politécnica de Chihuahua wins national drone competition
Aeronautical Engineering students from the Universidad Politécnica de Chihuahua (UPCH) won several categories at the national UAV/RPAV-1 Circuit competition held in Mexico City from October 5 to 9. Organized by the Consejo Mexicano de la Educación Aeroespacial (Comea), the event saw the UPCH delegation secure first place in the cargo circuit, synchronized flight, and the global ‘All Around’ recognition. The team also earned second place in speed and maze tests.
The students competed against various public and private institutions across the country using five aircraft that they designed and built from scratch. University officials noted that this achievement supports the institution's goal of becoming a technological leader, supported by strategic alliances with companies like DJI Enterprise and the establishment of specialized laboratories and clubs.
