Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca announces theological training programs
The Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca (UPSA) and the Spanish Episcopal Conference are launching several theological and pastoral training initiatives.
On October 21 and 22, the UPSA Faculty of Theology will host its 58th Theology Days, focusing on modern catechesis, the catechumenate, and Christian initiation. The event features Monsignor Rino Fisichella, pro-prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization, who will discuss catechesis in relation to Revelation. Other specialists will address methods for transmitting faith in contemporary society.
Additionally, the Spanish Episcopal Commission for Evangelization, Catechesis, and Catechumenate is offering a free online course titled ‘Catechesis and Liturgy’. Running from October 14 through March, the course aims to support priests and catechists in their pastoral duties.
Separately, the Chair of ‘Church, Secularity, Consecration’ at UPSA has organized an academic session for November 14 in Madrid titled ‘The question of human identity’. This session is part of a three-year training project by the Spanish Conference of Secular Institutes (CEDIS) exploring philosophical and religious perspectives on human nature.
