Universidad Tecnológica de Nuevo Laredo hosts student wellness programs
Students at the Universidad Tecnológica de Nuevo Laredo (UTNL) participated in several awareness campaigns focused on health and social well-being.
In collaboration with the Municipal Institute for the Prevention of Addiction and Antisocial Behavior (IMPACTA), the university hosted a session titled “Impacta con tu ejemplo y disfruta la vida sin drogas.” Specialists addressed the risks associated with alcohol, drugs, tobacco, vaping, and HIV. Dr. Manuel Alejandro García Lamontes provided medical insights into the physical and mental health consequences of substance abuse.
Additionally, the Municipal Institute for Youth Development (IMJUVE) organized a dialogue session to address school bullying. The initiative aimed to help students recognize, prevent, and respond to harassment, fostering empathy and respect within the university community to prevent emotional and academic harm.
