Universidade Federal de Goiás announces academic seminars and courses

The Federal University of Goiás (UFG) is hosting two academic events in 2026. The IX International Seminar on Research in Art and Visual Culture (IX SIPACV) will take place in Goiânia from October 13 to 16. Organized by the Graduate Program in Art and Visual Culture in collaboration with the Universidad de la República (UDELAR) from Uruguay, the seminar focuses on the theme ‘Transborde’, exploring contemporary research in art and visual culture through conferences, discussions, and artistic presentations.

Additionally, the Graduate Program in Information Science (PPGCI) at UFG will offer a concentrated course titled ‘Data Architecture from the Perspective of Information Science’ from August 25 to 28, 2026. Taught by professors from Unesp, Ibict, and UTFPR, the 32-hour course covers data lifecycles, metadata, and ethical principles. The course is open to master's and doctoral students, with 10 vacancies available.
