Universidade Politécnica de Setúbal welcomes 160 international students

The Universidade Politécnica de Setúbal (UNIPS) has welcomed approximately 160 international students from 20 different countries for the first semester of the academic year. These students are attending five higher education schools within the institution for study and internship programs.

The majority of the incoming students are participating through the Erasmus+ program, while others are part of the Ibero-American Cooperation initiative. Participating nations include Brazil, Chile, Greece, Denmark, Ukraine, and Turkey. This influx represents a significant increase in international mobility, doubling the 80 students received during the previous semester.

To facilitate integration, UNIPS organized “Integration Days” in partnership with its Academic Association. The program included an official welcome session led by Vice-Rector Luísa Carvalho, an international dinner, sporting activities, a boat trip, and tours of the city of Setúbal to introduce students to the local culture and heritage.
