Universitario de Deportes prepares for Copa Libertadores Femenina and upgrades infrastructure

Universitario de Deportes is preparing for the Copa Libertadores Femenina in Quito, Ecuador. As the recent Peruvian Liga Femenina Clausura champions, the team is placed in Group B alongside Palmeiras (Brazil), Independiente del Valle (Ecuador), and Belgrano (Argentina).

Matches for the tournament will be broadcast on Pluto TV across South America, while the official YouTube channel will provide coverage for the rest of the world. The team's first match is scheduled against Palmeiras on October 15.

In addition to international competition, the club has invested approximately US$ 200,000 of its own resources to upgrade its sports infrastructure. This investment includes the installation of a new FIVB-approved floating wooden floor with a PVC finish at the Coliseo Polideportivo Lolo Fernández, designed to improve safety and performance for volleyball athletes.
