Universitario de Deportes women's volleyball developments

Overview

Universitario de Deportes is preparing for the 2026-27 women’s volleyball season following a successful run in the Copa Brasilia, where the team reached the final. The club held a ‘Noche de las Pumas’ event to officially present its roster for the Liga Peruana de Vóley, featuring a match against Brazil’s Sancor Seguros Vólei Londrina.

As the champions of the Peruvian Liga Femenina Clausura, the team is set to compete in the Copa Libertadores Femenina in Quito, Ecuador, placed in Group B with Palmeiras, Independiente del Valle, and Belgrano. To support athlete performance and safety, the club has invested approximately US$ 200,000 to upgrade its sports infrastructure, including the installation of a new FIVB-approved floating wooden floor at the Coliseo Polideportivo Lolo Fernández.
