Universitas Nani Bili Nusantara Sorong launches stunting prevention program in Papua
Universitas Nani Bili Nusantara Sorong (UNBN) has conducted a community service program in Warmon Kokoda Village, Sorong Regency, Southwest Papua. The initiative focuses on strengthening the capacity of Posyandu health volunteers through the implementation of the ‘5-Step Counseling Card’.
This program is part of a larger intervention aimed at reducing stunting rates by improving the quality of health services provided by village-level volunteers. Funded by the Directorate of Research and Community Service under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, the project is being carried out in collaboration with the Sorong Regency Health Office. The goal is to provide volunteers with a systematic and simple instrument to improve community understanding of nutrition, child growth monitoring, and parenting patterns.
