Universitas Republik Indonesia launches Sekolah Unggul Garuda

Universitas Republik Indonesia (URI) is establishing the Sekolah Unggul Garuda in various regions across Indonesia to enhance national human resource quality. This initiative is a national strategic program initiated by President Prabowo Subianto to develop a workforce characterized by intelligence, strong character, and nationalism.

URI Governor Donny Ermawan Taufanto stated that the program aims to create an excellent educational ecosystem to ensure Indonesia's abundant natural resources are managed by competent generations, preventing capital from flowing abroad. The program includes 51 locations nationwide, consisting of four new Garuda Excellence High Schools in Belitung Timur, Konawe Selatan, Bulungan, and Timor Tengah Selatan, alongside 47 existing transformation sites.
