Universities from Argentina and Uruguay conduct regional cooperation visits

Academic delegations from Argentina and Uruguay have undertaken several initiatives to strengthen regional cooperation and territorial work.

A delegation from the Universidad Nacional de Formosa (UNaF) visited the Itaipú Binational Entity and the Pomera forestry company in Paraguay. The visit, which included members of the Faculty of Natural Resources, aimed to establish cooperation in academic research, extension, and professional training. The delegation presented proposals for student internships and collaborative research to enhance engineering education.

In Uruguay, the Universidad Nacional de Entre Ríos (UNER) and the Universidad de la República (UdelaR) implemented the “A Dos Bandas” Internationalized Integral Practices Program in Fray Bentos. Students and faculty conducted community work in the Las Canteras neighborhood, focusing on the intersection of health and the environment. This initiative involved collaboration with local social organizations, including CECAP, CAIF, and the Las Canteras Polyclinic, to integrate academic knowledge with community experiences.
