Universities in Guatemala and Mexico announce campus infrastructure projects

Universidad Mesoamericana (UMES) has officially inaugurated the remodeling of Module H at its campus in Quetzaltenango. The project includes the modernization of administrative offices and the optimization of library and cafeteria areas to improve service and infrastructure for students and faculty.

In Mexico, the Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán (Uady) has opened a bidding process for construction work at its Architecture Campus, located in the La Mejorada neighborhood of Mérida. The project, which involves intervening in the former La Mejorada convent, is scheduled to begin on September 21, with an estimated completion date in February 2027. The university intends to fund the works using its own resources.
