University infrastructure developments in Mexico and Central

Overview

Higher education institutions in Mexico and Guatemala are implementing various infrastructure and artistic projects to enhance campus facilities.

In Mexico, the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP) inaugurated the Arpa4 building to support academic and artistic activities for the Faculty of Plastic and Audiovisual Arts. Additionally, the University of Baja California (UABC) unveiled a new mural in Ensenada created by students and staff. The Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán (Uady) has also initiated a bidding process for construction at its Architecture Campus in Mérida, with work expected to run from September 2026 through February 2027.

In Guatemala, the Universidad Mesoamericana (UMES) completed the remodeling of Module H in Quetzaltenango, modernizing administrative, library, and cafeteria spaces.
