University admission processes begin in Jordan and Egypt

Educational authorities in Jordan and Egypt have announced updates regarding university admission processes for the 2026-2027 academic cycle.

In Jordan, the Unified Admission Coordination Unit has updated its website to prepare for the summer 2026-2027 enrollment period. For the bachelor's degree stage, 607 specialties are available across nine government universities and the World Islamic Sciences and Education University. For the intermediate diploma stage, 206 specialties are offered through Al-Balqa Applied University community colleges, alongside programs at Yarmouk, Hashemite, Al al-Bayt, Al Hussein Bin Talal, and Tafila Technical universities, among others.

In Egypt, the second phase of high school coordination has commenced, allowing students in both scientific and literary tracks to register their preferences online until August 16. For the scientific track, the minimum requirement is set at 220 marks (68.75%), while the literary track requires 205 marks (64.06%). Available options for scientific students include veterinary medicine, nursing, and artificial intelligence across various regional universities, while literary students can access programs in education, arts, law, and commerce.
